Used DHR 80 1-A micropile-anchor Krupp drill

On first impression which is the most striking thing of this German made drill is its mighty hammer. This HB-103 hydraulic hammer combines a rotation and percussive action. It means that the drill needs neither a “down the hole” hammer (although it could be used if necessary) nor a high pressure air compressor to work. 

It is a completely autonomous and versatile drill able to bore micropiles, anchors or water wells. Actually it makes possible to develop a wide range of works. This Krupp series permit a wide range of drilling angles due to it articulated arm able to reach the farthest corner.

The drill has a double retainer which supports and simplifies the drilling actions. It makes easier the screwing, unscrewing and pulling up the train rod operations.

As it was said, the equipment is completely hydraulic and it is mounted on metallic tracks, which result very appropriate to deal with irregular and complicate surfaces, and propelled by a 5 cylinder Deutz engine.
